One Day
All UK surfers have one magical summer’s day etched into their memory – this movie is about that day.
Impactful, sustaining and richly layered, set in North Devon from dawn till dark.
It will contain: a shed load of local people, heaps of native flora and fauna, and a bunch of Californian holiday makers you just might have heard of – Alex Knost, Dane Peterson, Devon Howard, Mike Keller and Tyler Hatzikian.
The soundtrack has been especially written by Clive Reeve for the project and inspired by music from the late 1960s/early 70s. Oneday is in production now so you can watch the movie unfold with new rough cuts to download every month.
Tyler Hatzikian, Devon Howard, Dane Peterson, Angela King and friends on their first experience of Irish waves and hospitality, from barrels at Easky to a pub the size of a phone box.
They were the guests of loose-fit surf shop in collaboration with West Coast Surf Club and I was there to record it, thanks to everyone that made us all so welcome.
My first project which inspired this website. It was the extraordinary enthusiasm of the Brighton surfers that got this one done and it shows!
The original 25 min version explored five locations in the Brighton area, vividly expressing the different vibe of each place. The podmovies are intense edited versions of this project.
